PROJECT
Behavioral Change Driving Medical Training Transformation with UpLeap
Objective: Healthcare professionals in remote and underserved areas often struggle with accessing quality medical training due to limited resources and infrastructure. Traditional training methods are usually impractical or unavailable, leaving professionals without the latest skills, practices, or guidelines. This educational gap impacts patient outcomes, as healthcare workers cannot stay current with evolving medical knowledge and technology.

Our approach:
Solution: UpLeap, an AI-driven platform, was designed to revolutionize medical training by offering personalized, accessible learning experiences for healthcare professionals. The platform integrates short, hands-on simulations into healthcare workers’ daily routines, allowing them to continuously improve their skills without disrupting their practice.
Humanist Company played a key role in shaping UpLeap’s behavioral strategy, ensuring that the platform would promote sustainable learning and positive behavior change among healthcare workers.
Behavioral Change Strategy: Humanist used behavioral science to design an experience that encouraged consistent engagement with UpLeap’s training modules. By breaking learning into short, targeted sessions, healthcare workers were more likely to integrate learning into their busy routines, overcoming the challenge of time constraints.
User-Centered Design: Humanist focused on the user experience (UX) to create an intuitive, mobile-friendly platform, ensuring accessibility for healthcare workers in remote locations. The training was designed to seamlessly fit into daily clinical practice, promoting long-term behavioral change by making learning continuous and non-intrusive.
Peer-to-Peer Learning: Humanist encouraged collaborative learning within the platform, enabling healthcare professionals to share knowledge and support each other. This fostered a sense of community, motivating learners to engage with the content and apply it immediately to improve patient care.
Outcome: UpLeap successfully transformed medical training for healthcare workers in underserved areas. By promoting behavioral change through continuous, personalized learning, the platform significantly improved skills development and patient care. Integrating peer learning further strengthened healthcare networks, contributing to a more collaborative and informed healthcare community.
Humanist’s behavioral-driven approach enabled UpLeap to enhance healthcare outcomes and bridge the educational gap, supporting global SDGs, particularly in Health (SDG 3) and Quality Education (SDG 4). UpLeap empowers healthcare workers globally, making high-quality, up-to-date medical training accessible, efficient, and impactful.
